Music Holiday Clubs in Worcester This Summer
Our music holiday clubs in Worcester give children something to look forward to during the school holidays: singing, piano and music theory sessions filled with games, performance and proper progress. Each club runs across the summer holidays for children aged 5 to 15, in small groups led by qualified tutors.
Sometimes searched for as summer camps or holiday programmes, our clubs are led by the same experienced LP Music tutors who teach singing lessons and piano lessons across Worcestershire throughout the year, so children leave having genuinely learned something rather than simply having their day filled.
Whether your child has never sung a note in public or has been playing for a couple of years, there is a club below to suit them.
This Summer’s Music Clubs in Worcester
Five themed clubs to choose from, each with its own age range, format and focus.
If your child enjoys their holiday club, continue that progress throughout the rest of the year with LP Music Tuition’s singing lessons across Worcestershire and piano lessons in Worcester.
Pop Star Academy
Singing Holiday Club, Ages 7 to 11
This is the one children talk about all year. Over three days, young performers learn what it really takes to be a pop star, from nailing an audition and handling a microphone to delivering song lyrics with confidence and putting together their own dance moves and choreography. There is no audition to get in and no experience required, just a love of singing. The week builds towards a mini concert on the final day, where families come in to watch their pop star shine. We expect this to be our most popular club this summer, so booking early is wise.
Format: Three 3-hour sessions over three days.
Finishes with: a mini concert for parents and carers.
No experience needed, just a love of singing.
When: 27-29th July | 3-5th August | 24-26th August.
Teen Technique Take-off
Vocal Technique Holiday Club, Ages 12 to 15
For older singers who already enjoy singing and want to get serious about how the voice actually works, this three-day club digs into the science behind the sound. Across the week, teenagers learn vocal technique the proper way: breathing and breath support, vocal placement, resonance, the different vocal registers, clear diction, and the agility behind riffs and runs. It is the technical grounding that turns a keen singer into a confident, capable one, taught in a relaxed and supportive group of peers at a similar stage.
Format: Three 3-hour informative sessions over three days
Focus: Using the voice as an instrument.
Some singing experience is needed.
Around the world in a week
Singing Holiday Club, Ages 5 to 10
Perfect for younger children who love singing as much as they love animals, travel and discovering how other people live. Over five days, the group journeys through five different countries, learning songs and music from each one along the way. There is plenty of making and creating too, with children building their own culture-specific props for the final show, think African drums one day and Brazilian carnival masks the next. The week ends with a mini concert for parents, where all five countries come together in one joyful performance.
Format: Five 3-hour sessions over five days.
Finishes with: Mini concert for parents.
No experience needed.
When: 10th-14th August.
Piano Detective Clubs
Piano Holiday Club, Ages 5 to 11
Our ever-popular Piano Detective Clubs are back again this summer, and they are as much fun as they sound. Built around a ‘WhoDunnit?’ mystery, each club comes with a workbook packed with music puzzles, activities, games and songs to learn. Some of our most popular are the ‘Pizza Party’ and ‘Cupcake Party’ (pizza and cupcakes included!). Children work through the challenges to gather clues and unmask the suspect behind each case, picking up real piano skills without ever feeling like they are sitting still. Sessions range from complete beginners right through to ABRSM Grade 1 level, making them ideal for the first two years of piano learning.
Theme: ‘WhoDunnit?’ mystery solving.
Level: Beginner up to Grade 1 ABRSM level.
Best For: The first two years of piano learning.
When: Every Thursday and Friday throughout August.
ABRSM Music Theory Booster Clubs
Music Theory Holiday Sessions, All Ages
Regular instrumental lessons do not always leave enough time to keep music theory moving, and that is exactly the gap these clubs fill. Whether your child is preparing for an ABRSM theory exam or simply wants to stay on top of the knowledge and understanding behind their playing, the booster sessions focus on building genuine confidence with theory. They are open to any age group, from children all the way through to adults, so even grown-up learners are welcome to brush up.
Ages: Any age, children to adults.
Focus: Theory, knowledge, and exam preparation.
Best for: Keeping theory on track between lessons.
